Conservative Beth Beskin Launches Campaign for Georgia Supreme Court

Today, experienced attorney Beth Beskin announced her campaign for Georgia Supreme Court. Beskin recently left the Georgia Attorney General’s office where she litigated cases of waste, fraud and abuse.

“I am running to bring my experience in business and law to the Supreme Court and to defend our shared values of what makes Georgia such a great place to live, work, own or run a business and raise a family,” Beth said as she announced her candidacy.

Beth has a long history of conservative civic engagement and deep legal experience. She serves on the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission, to which she was appointed early this year by Governor Kemp. Governor Deal appointed her as one of two liaisons to Atlanta Public Schools when it was put on accredited probation and she served in that capacity until APS regained its full accreditation status.

Beth was elected to serve as state representative for House District 54 in the Georgia General Assembly from 2015 to 2019. During the 2017-2018 legislative term, Beth served as the Chief Deputy Whip for the majority party caucus. She has served on the Georgia Commission on Child Support as well as on the Capitol Arts Standards Commission. Beth is a former geologist, as well as a former pension plan administrator.

Beth and her husband, Jim Beskin, an orthopedic surgeon with Peachtree Orthopedics, are members of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta.  Beth serves on the Board of Directors of Brandon Neighborhood Association, Neighborhood Planning Unit C, and as the legislative liaison for Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods.  Beth previously served on the Tulane University Associates Board of Directors and Princeton University’s Parents’ Committee.  Beth and Jim have two young adult daughters, Alison Beskin Ham, who is an attorney in New York City, and Claire Beskin, who is a consultant in Boston.
